3. You cannot stack your Panera rewards, you can only use one per purchase.
You can earn multiple Panera rewards, but you can only use one free item per purchase. You can earn one point every two hours.
If you are a memberPanera Sips Club, Your drink purchase will count toward your Panera reward if you order something else with a free drink.
Rewards are valid for 60 days after they are earned and you can track them all in the Panera app. This free drink will not count towards your future Panera rewards.
4. Stop at Panera just before closing time; you can get a free cake (or two).
What does Panera do with leftover food at the end of the working day? Bread is given to themProgram Day-End Dough-Nationwhich donates unsold bread to non-profit organizations and charities at no cost.
Cakes, however, are fair game for value-hungry customers. Casually ask the cashier if you can get a free cookie or pie if closing time is approaching which is usually 9pm. You'll most likely beat the Panera Bread menu prices, walking away with a tasty treat at no cost. (I did it often!)
5. Unlimited Sips Club membership pays for itself after six drinks.
Eliminate Panera Bread menu prices entirely with the Unlimited Sips Club. With this membership, you can get your favorite Panera drinks every two hours for $11.99 a month.

6. Get macaroni and cheese in a bread bowl for just $8.89.
Ask for Mac & Cheese in a bread bowl. The entire meal will cost just $8.89, which is only $2.40 more than a small Mac & Cheese. You save $0.39 doing it this way (since the bread bowl alone costs $2.79).
7. Ask for an empty bread plate with a bowl of soup on the side.
If you love Panera bread bowls, you should know that you only get one cup of soup (eight ounces) per bread bowl. A cup of soup weighs four ounces less than a bowl.
If you want a full 12 oz bowl of soup with a bread bowl, just ask for an empty bread bowl with a separate soup bowl. It'll set you back a few bucks more: a cup of soup in a bread bowl costs $7.89, while a bowl of soup ($7.49) and a side bowl of bread ($2.79) will set you back $10.28, but you'll be sure that you'll get a bowl full of the soup you want and you can pour it yourself.
8. Skip the "You Pick Two" menu and take advantage of the new "Value Duos" deals instead.
Panera Bread's expanded You Pick Two menu is classic, but in fact Value Duets' new smaller menu is more value.
One Duet option is a half-grilled cheese sandwich and a cup of creamy tomato soup for $6.99. On the You Pick Two menu, the exact same combination is $8.58 (although you do get an extra item like an apple or fries with You Pick Two...but that doesn't seem worth the extra $1.59).
If you're watching pennies (and calories, for that matter), Value Duet is the way to go.
9. Get $4.70 off a box of bagels on Tuesdays.
On Tuesdays, get a dozen bakery bagels (or 13 bagels) for just $7.49. That's $4.70 less than the regular price of $12.19 for a dozen bagels. A Panera bagel costs $1.69; buying the 13 separately would cost $21.97 which means you save over $14 on Tuesdays!

RADA: Freeze what you don't eat for a future feast. They will last up to four months in the freezer; just make sure you cut them up before you put them in there!
10. You can always add vegetables and dressings for free to your sandwich or salad.
Toppings like apple chips, wontons, olives, pickles and kale are always free.
Just ask when you're in a Panera store or if you're ordering throughpanera app, tap the "special instructions" section when ordering menu items to add free extras.
Some ingredients cost more, so if you're unsure, ask which ones are offered for free. For example, adding a regular avocado topping to a sandwich costs $1.49, while a regular serving of Parmesan fries costs $1.19 more.
You can double almost any ingredient in a Mediterranean Vegetarian Sandwich for free (except feta) for a sandwich that's almost twice the size of the original.

11. If you're feeding four people, consider "group" portions.
Some Panera menu items have "group" portion sizes that are designed for four people. Group soups and pastas come in quarts (32 ounces), which is roughly the equivalent of four small orders.
Panera Bread prices for a small Mac & Cheese are $6.49 for 7.75 ounces, or about $0.84 an ounce. Meanwhile, group size costs $23.99, which is equivalent to $0.75 per ounce, a difference of 10.7%.
Not a huge savings, but if you're visiting Panera with three friends and all four of them are craving macaroni and cheese, why not buy a little more for less?
12. If you're feeding more people, the Panera Family Feast options can save you up to 48%.
There are plenty of different dishes for Family Feasts at Panera, which can include flat pizzas, salads, soups, sandwiches, cookies, and more.
A family feast of soup or macaroni and cookies costs $39 (prices may vary by location) and includes two half sandwiches, two kids sandwiches, one whole salad, one quart of family soup or macaroni and cheese, one French baguette and four chocolates. Butter cookies.
This deal purchased individually would cost up to $70.49, which is a saving of $31.49, which is over 44% off!

Panera Bread's social media accounts mainly talk about new menu items and other promotions, but you don't care, you're here for the freebies!
Several times a year, followers on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram receive Panera promotional codes: free access to Unlimited Sips Club for a month or free unlimited coffee on National Coffee Day (September 29) for parents.
15. Order a bagel or croissant sandwich instead of sliced bread for only $0.50 extra.
Don't be fooled by the pictures on the menu. If you prefer a croissant, bagel or ciabatta sandwich, just ask! It's only an extra $0.50 and it's a biiiiig upgrade.
RADA: At some Panera Bread locations, if you order a bagel sandwich, you'll get two sandwiches. This is rare so be sure to asklocal panerato see if they participate.
16. Replace avocado with meat at no extra cost.
This lesser-known tip is one of the best Panera hacks out there. Who doesn't love avocados? Most places charge extra, but if you want to remove the meat from your sandwich or salad and add avocado, Panera is happy to replace it.
17. Get a free cake or candy if your order isn't filled correctly.
If your order is wrong, no problem! They will probably offer you a free gift on your next visit if you tell them (nicely of course) how your order got messed up. Not only that, but chances are you'll keep an order that was placed incorrectly because they throw it away anyway.
When I ordered a turkey sandwich without mayo last week but the bun was left with mayonnaise, all I had to do was point out the error and within minutes I had a new replacement. Moreover, I took the mayonnaise one home in a takeout box for another member of my family to eat.

18. Use Panera promo codes to save money when ordering online.
Panera Bread websitehas a dedicated pagefor Panera promo codes. In February 2022, the free delivery offer for online orders and free delivery for MyPanera Rewards members were presented.
19. Order a sliced apple and add some honey at no extra charge.
guess what? At no extra charge, you can slice an apple side by side and get a free portion of honey for dipping. It is a special snack tested by children and approved by mum.
20. Buy an 8-ounce tube of cream cheese for $3.69 and take the rest home instead of spending $1.60 per serving.
Why spend $1.60 to get 1.75 ounces of cream cheese on a bagel when you can get an entire 8-ounce tube of cream cheese for $3.69?
Not a fan of cream cheese? Ask for bagel butter instead, it's free!
21. Use a discounted Panera Gift Card to save up to 15%.
It's a smart way to avoid paying full menu prices for Panera Bread. Discounted Panera gift cards can be up to 15% off at sites likeincrease. This means that you pay 15% less than the amount on the card.
Also look for a Panera promo code to get a free gift card while on vacation. In 2022, Panera is offering a free $10 Panera Gift Card with every purchase of a $50 Panera Gift Card until the end of December. Watch out for the fine print though, as the $10 bonus gift card must be redeemed in January 2023.
If you own or run a business that regularly delivers employee lunches or gift cards, you can get a 10% discount on bulk gift card orders of $500 or more.

22. Get dessert for $0.99 with a meal and drink order.
Buy a salad, a bowl of soup, or a full sandwich and a drink, and the price of dessert drops to just $0.99. That's a saving of at least $1.50 depending on which cookie or cupcake you choose.
23. There is no difference between a children's meal and half a portion of a regular menu.
Panera Bread menu pricing can be tricky. At first glance, you might think ordering a kid's meal would save you some calories or money compared to "adult" meals, but with Panera, that's not the case.
Kids meals range from $4.99 for simple sandwiches like grilled cheese or turkey to $8.69 for premium sandwiches like steak and white cheddar, but they're only half the size of regular menu items. A medium-sized steak and white cheddar cheese sandwich costs, you guessed it, $8.69.
If you have a foodie kid and don't want to be limited by the kids menu options, just order half the size of the regular menu. There is much more choice and it costs exactly the same.

24. Don't order a Panera delivery unless you're willing to pay more for the food.
Panera Bread delivery menu prices are higher and fees apply, depending on the restaurant. So you might be lured in by the "free" delivery offer, but you'll end up paying more for your food, around 7% - 15%.

Much better to stop at the drive-thru if you don't want to set foot in a restaurant but need a Panera repair. OR …
25. Skip the restaurant and buy Panera food at your grocery store.
Depending on where you are, you can buy some Panera branded products such as soup, macaroni and cheese, macaroni, coffee, dressing and bread at grocery stores such asManos,Albertsony,Fred Meyer,the, oAmazons.
At Target, we found 16-ounce containers of Panera Soups on sale for $5.69, which is $0.36 an ounce. However, if you were to buy a bowl of Creamy Chicken Soup and Wild Rice at a Panera location, you'd pay $7.49 for 12 ounces, or $0.62 per ounce. That's 41.9% less than Panera Bread menu prices!
26. Order from Panera Bread AI, Tori, at select self-service locations.
In mid-2022, Panera Bread introduced us to its AI virtual assistant, Tori, who can take orders at selected Panera Bread locations. So far, Tori has only appeared in three locations and is still in the testing phase. During the testing phase, Panera will have staff on standby to make sure all your orders are correct, so don't worry if Tori breaks something.
It's all part of Panera Bread's plan to make your dining experience more streamlined and digital. There's currently no word on when this will release nationwide, but we expect more to debut in 2023.
